DeepAffects uses API keys to allow access to the API. You can register a new DeepAffects API key at our developer portal. DeepAffects expects for the API key to be included in all API requests to the server along with the base url.
With shell, you can just pass the correct header with each request
# Configure API key authorization: UserSecurity
deepaffects.configuration.api_key['apikey'] = '<API_KEY>'
var DeepAffects = require("deep-affects");
// Configure API key authorization: UserSecurity
var UserSecurity = defaultClient.authentications["UserSecurity"];

API Keyobtained from developer portal.
